Lantern Tours at Jordan Park
At Jordan Park, when darkness falls, the lanterns are lit and a journey into the mysteries of the night begins.
A 1.5 km lantern tour lasting about an hour and a half, accompanied by explanations. We listen to the sounds of the night, engage all five senses, try to find animal tracks, and learn to locate the North Star with the help of a small map.
The tour begins at Bethsaida: the remains of a settlement (within Jordan Park) from the biblical period and the Second Temple period. There we hold a spectacular lights viewpoint over the Galilee and the Golan, walk through the settlement remains, and continue down to the spring by lantern light.
Nature, history and a taste of astronomy, at eye level for children and adults alike.
Equipment: closed shoes (sneakers are fine).
Price: 250 NIS for a family of 4-5 people.
