Culinary Agriculture Tour in the Golan
A tour of culinary agriculture in the Golan Heights.
The tour begins at a cattle ranch near Moshav Kanaf.
We taste local produce, goat cheeses, breads and other treats.
From there we continue to a lavender farm, enjoy tea and cookies, hear the story of the place and take in a breathtaking view.
We continue to a meeting with a horse trainer.
We learn about the bond between animal and human and get a rare glimpse into working with a horse in the process of being trained. We finish at "Mika," a new and young winery.
We end the tour with a portion of arais made with meat from Schneider's butchery.
You can join open tours on Fridays or arrange a tour for a private group (over 8 people); the tour lasts about 3 hours.
Travel between stops is in private vehicles.
