Banias Reserve

Nature Reserves

The Banias Reserve (Nahal Hermon) comprises two areas.

The springs area and the suspended trail area.

Banias Falls is the largest waterfall in Israel.

An entrance ticket grants access to both areas.

Dogs are not permitted in the reserve.

The site holds the ancient city of Banias, along with flour mills that operated several years ago.

The water originates from the snowmelt of Mount Hermon.

To tour both areas you need two cars, leaving one car at the parking lot.

With a single car you can tour one area, return to the parking lot, and drive to the other area (a few minutes' drive). It is recommended to reserve a spot on the Israel Nature and Parks Authority website.
