Gamla Nature Reserve

Nature Reserves

Gamla Reserve is one of the gems of the Golan, a blend of nature, archaeology, and rare birds.

The tallest waterfall in Israel, at 51 meters, is especially striking in winter and spring.

The ancient city of Gamla: the ruins of the city that fell to the Romans in 67 CE, including an ancient synagogue from the Roman period.

A lookout for vultures and birds of prey nesting in the cliffs.

The dolmen field, the largest in Israel.

Note as of April 2026: the accessible trail is open.

The road to the ancient city is closed, and it can be reached only on foot.
