Stained Glass, Fusing and Glass Mosaic Workshops
Stained glass, fusing and glass mosaic workshops at Moshav Kanaf, somewhere in the wild heart of nature in the Golan Heights, between the Kanaf spring and the Deir Aziz synagogue, is where the Smadar Art studio gallery is located.
After years of experience and creation, I run studio workshops in several glass disciplines:
1. Stained-glass hearts workshop — a short, hour-and-a-half session for a small taste of the world of glass, from cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering all the way to a small, beautiful mobile.
2. Long stained-glass workshop — three hours to create a decorative piece for the home and to learn all the stages of making a Tiffany-style stained-glass piece.
3. Glass mosaic workshop — cutting and gluing glass onto a surface of your choice; the workshop lasts three hours, and each participant creates a mosaic piece.
4. Fusing workshop — designing a glass surface and melting it in the kiln; the piece stays in the studio to be fired at 800 degrees.
The prices include materials and use of the studio's equipment.
In addition to the workshops, I run an artist session introducing the art of glass, accompanied by an explanation of the work stages and of the founding of Moshav Kanaf, as a founder of Moshav Kanaf.
By prior arrangement.
Smadar Shiachi.
