Bread Baking Workshops - Ava Lasha
My name is Eva Malka. I live in Moshav Kanaf, on a mountainside overlooking the Sea of Galilee. I am married to Shimon, mother of Asaf and Nadav, and grandmother to Bnaya.
The truth is, I am no professional baker, but I admit I am in love with the process of creating bread, with its primal simplicity, with nature in its origins, and with the wonder of creation. It is a gift for me to knead and bake breads. The contact with the dough creates an enabling, healing space.
I hold workshops in baking and kneading dough. Together we learn about the types of flour and types of bread, and learn to knead, shape and score, until at the end of the process the scent of the breads fills the bakehouse.
Another love of mine is written poetry, which serves as inspiration for the breads I knead and bake with love.
The workshop includes: an indulgent brunch that I prepare for you; learning and hands-on practice in kneading and baking breads chosen in advance; and you leave with a bag full of all the good breads you baked.
In addition, there are further workshops for sweet pastries, Jerusalem bagels and more.
