Limonto - All About the Lemon

Limonto is a visitor center where all the products are made from lemons grown in the basalt soil of the Sponder farm in Givat Yoav.

Ruti drew the inspiration to set up the visitor center from a tour she took of similar centers in Sorrento, Italy.

The visit (for a fee) includes a film showing the production process, an explanation by Ruti about the virtues of the lemon, dishes and pickling methods, as well as tastings of the various products.

The place is tastefully designed in a rustic style, with everything built around the lemon motif. On sale are juices, liqueurs, jams and spreads, as well as olive oil and quality healthy products made in the Golan.
