Kursi National Park

Nature Reserves

Kursi National Park lies near the Sea of Galilee, where the remains of a monastery and church built in the Byzantine period can be found.

It is the largest Byzantine-era monastery discovered in the country.

Remains of a Roman-era bathhouse were also found at the site.

According to Christian tradition, the miracle of the swine took place here.

A high wall was built around the monastery, with the entrance on the west side.

The site has impressive mosaic floors and stone columns.

Burial caves were also uncovered here.
